One of the most historical court cases in terms of education and segregation was the Brown v Board of Education. This was the road to justice which eventually ended legal segregation in public schools. In December 1952, the U.S supreme court, Kansas, Delaware, the district of Columbia, South Carolina and Virginia - all challenged the racial segregation in public schools. The significance of the Brown V Board was that it set a foundation for the movement and gave African American's hope that some things would change. Many believed that the segregation of public schools which seemed to be a violation of the 14th amendment.
I think that when this case was finalized it helped the african american race to have hope and expect better things to occur. Within the Civil Rights Movement, there were several events that led to better outcomes for african americans. Many lives were lost throughout the movement but their courageous acts helped the rest of the african american race to live in equality and having others give respect to one another.
