Rosa Louise McCauley was a African American Civil Rights activist who refused to surrender her bus seat to a male, white passenger. Her refusal spurred the Montgomery boycott and made a huge impact on the efforts to end segregation. She wanted to stand up and make a change to racism. Rosa parks was old when she stud up and she wanted too get arrested on purpose so they could make it into a big ordeal. She was all for the discussions and finally wanted change for all african americans. This took place in Montgomery, Alabama. There was a huge boycott which caused the city of Montgomery to lift the law of segregation on public buses. Rosa parks received many accolades such as the NAACP, which is the highest award a person could have bestowed upon them. Rosa Parks's childhood brought her early experiences with racial discrimination that drove this courageous lady to fight for racial equality. Unfortunately, her parents separated and Rosa's mother moved the family to Pine Level,Alabama to live with her parents, Rose and Sylvester Edwards. With all her struggles, she had the courage to stand up and definitely make a change that moved others to follow in her dispute to get equality for those who deserved it.
